The Color Myth

There is no "best" color for a CTA button. The rule is contrast. If your site is mostly blue, a blue button will blend in. Make it pop.

Action-Oriented Copy

"Submit" is the worst copy you can use. Tell the user what they get. Instead of "Submit", use "Get My Free Guide" or "Secure My Spot".

Placement

Above the fold is good, but following the user's natural reading pattern (F-pattern or Z-pattern) is better.
